The Azusa Adult School offers educational
classes at residential care and
convalescent sites. These classes are designed
to serve the needs of substantially handicapped
adults, providing the students with instruction
in areas such as civics, vocational, literacy,
home making, technical and general education.
Classes are offered mornings, afternoons and
evenings at El Dorado Oaks, Golden Haven, and
Edgewood Center facilities. The
following classes are being offered:
Living Skills
& Functional Academics
Students will receive instruction in personal
health, safety, nutrition, grooming, hygiene and
physical fitness.

Skills
& Functional Academics
This course addresses readjustment skills after
accidents or injury, wheelchair and adaptive
equipment use, mobility skills. Computer skills
and language / communication skills are also
covered.
