Effective Parenting Techniques
Parent Education/Preschool
Classes are designed to help strengthen families
by providing support to parents as they work to
meet their child's developmental needs and
prepare for school. Parent or caregiver attend
with children from birth to kindergarten age.
Ideas and support are offered through
parent/child activities and early childhood
education.
Programa
Pre-escolar
Las clases están diseñadas para el mejoramiento
familiar, capacitando a los padres para el
desarrollo y preparación
escolar de sus hijos. Para los padres o niñeras
que asistan con niños desde recién
nacidos hasta la edad de kinder. Se les
ofrecerán ideas para las actividades y apoyo
para la educación
sobre la primer etapa de la infanica para
desarrollar entre padre e hijos.

Parent Education/Pre-Kindergarten
Parents or caregivers attend with
children who will reach age 4 by December 2,
2007. Younger siblings may attend, but won't
be included in some activities. Parents and
children
participate in activities which will help them
prepare for kindergarten. (Bring lunches)

Para los padres de familia o niñeras que asistan
con niños que cumplirán los 4 años de edad para
el 2 de diciembre 2007. Los hermanos menores
podrán asistir, pero no serán incluidos en
algunas actividades. Los padres e hijos

and child through crafts,
cooking, and field trips. (Ages birth - 5 years)

Family Members Interaction
Shaping Your Family's Behaviors (pre-K thru 12)
Three, five-week sessions, each with a different
focus. Parents will gain an understanding of the
various parenting styles and how these shape
their children's behaviors and learning. Course
will cover human developmental stages and
appropriate parenting strategies. Class will
include make and take projects that promote
parent/child interaction as well as literacy.
Desarrollo de la conducta entre familia
(pre-Kinder al duodecimo grado)
Se ofrecen tres sesiones, de cinco semanas, cada
una con un tema. Los padres tendran un
entendimiento de los varios estilos de
disciplina, y como forman la conducta de los
hijos y el aprendizaje. Se cubrirá etapas de
desarrollo y estrategias de disciplina. Se haran
actividades que apoyan literatura y interacción
entre hijos y padres.
Parenting for Special Needs
Parenting
the Child with Special Needs
This class covers some of the aspects of the
unique parenting issues that come with having a
special needs child. In addition to lecture,
instruction will include demonstrations,
activities, time for parents to ask questions
and network with other parents.
Everyday Math for Parents
Many parents have forgotten the rudiments of
elementary math, fractions, decimals, geometry,
and simple algebra. Relearn all of these
functions and more.
