Medical Coding & Billing

Learn the complexities of reading, decoding, and coding of medical procedures for billing purposes in
preparation for employment in a hospital, medical center, doctor’s office, or an insurance agency. The
course includes an introduction to billing procedures and standard insurance claim forms for out-patient
billing. Successful completion of the course qualifies students to take the National Certification test.
Prerequisites: Attend one of the Information Sessions on December 17, 2019. Students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or be concurrently enrolled in a high school equivalency program. Pre-requisite courses are required – see below.

Fee: $430 (includes all fees, tuition, textbooks*, materials, and supplies).

*Students will be required to purchase three (3) additional coding textbooks for an approximate
cost of $250. These textbooks are not a part of the regular fees.
