Pharmacy Technician CERTIFICATION

MANDATORY Informational Session and Pre-Assessment – Thurs. 8/8/19

Prospective students interested in the Pharmacy Technician program, must attend an Informational Session

and take both an English proficiency exam and Math proficiency exam, which will be administered at the

 Informational Session. Students who meet the minimum reading and math requirements must attend the

 mandatory orientation  on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.  Information about “NO COST TRAINING” and financial assistance will be provided during the Informational Session.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN COURSE 

Prepare for entry level employment in retail and hospital pharmacy environments by attending classes two days per week and completing online assignments. Upon successful completion of all coursework with a passing score of 70% or higher and 120 hours of externship in a workplace setting, students will qualify to be recommended for a California Pharmacy Technician License, and to apply to take the National Pharmacy Technician Exam. Class costs do not cover licensing fees. With classes two days per week and online assignments, the Pharmacy Tech program is organized to help students who need a flexible schedule and want to start and exciting and lucrative career.

Prerequisites:  To obtain a California State Pharmacy Technician License, applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

 

Fee:  $1760  (includes fees, tuition, materials, supplies, textbooks, standard fees for medical and background clearances, standard uniform, and externship supervision fees. Students will be responsible for the costs of extensive testing such as x-rays, if required to obtain clearance. Students with multiple names may be subject to additional charges for background screenings and fingerprinting clearances.)
