Medical Assistant - HYBRID COURSE

MEDICAL ASSISTANT – BACK/FRONT OFFICE (HYBRID)

This 22-week hybrid course prepares students for employment as a Medical Assistant in a variety of healthcare settings. The program is divided into two parts: Front Office (Administrative) and Back Office (Clinical), with online coursework, in-person instruction, and a 160-hour externship in a medical facility.

The Administrative portion (10 weeks) covers HIPAA compliance, medical ethics, health insurance processing, diagnostic and procedural coding, medical math, patient communication, and records management.

The Clinical portion (12 weeks) focuses on hands-on skills including vital signs, medication administration, injections, preparing patients for exams and surgery, assisting with minor procedures, and basic cardiology and radiology procedures.

Upon successful completion of the coursework and internship, students are prepared and expected to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Exam.

Fee: $3,995.00 (includes tuition, scrubs, textbooks, materials, supplies & CCMA Exam fee)

Prerequisites:

  • MUST BRING a copy of High School Diploma or Equivalency that meets the State requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • Minimum 7th Grade Reading and Math Level
  • Clearance of Criminal Convictions
  • Must be Computer Literate(Canvas, Google Meet, Zoom)
