Medical Coding & Billing
CERTIFIED MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST - ONLINE COURSE -
This 18-week/288 hours ONLINE course prepares students for entry-level work as a medical biller in hospitals, clinics, private practices, or insurance companies. Students will learn essential medical terminology, gain hands-on experience with billing procedures including CMS-1500 forms, billing software, EOBs, insurance payors, and payment posting, and be introduced to basic CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Upon successful completion of the coursework students are prepared and eligible to take the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) Exam, a nationally recognized certification.
Fee: $1,359 (includes tuition, textbooks, materials, supplies, CBCS Exam fee)
This class uses CANVAS. Students are required to have a computer laptop/desktop devise and internet access. MAC computers are not compatible.
Prerequisites:
- MUST BRING A COPY OF High School Diploma or Equivalency that meets the State requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Minimum 7th Grade Reading and Math Level
