Security Guard - Unarmed
This security course is a one-week, 40-hour training program that equips students with the basic skills and knowledge to become a private security guard for any private event or business. Students will receive knowledge and skills on comprehensive security topics. The course includes classroom instruction with hands-on training. Security Guard Students will also receive CPR Certification as part of the course.
This course covers: U.S. and California laws and regulations for Security Guards; Powers to Arrest; Use of Force; Handcuffing: Weapons of Mass Destruction; Report Writing; Public Relations; and Protocols for interacting with First Responders.
At the end of this 1-week program, students will be prepared to pass the Guard Card Exam. Students attaining a Guard Card receive compensation that is above the average. Security Guard Students will receive a Security Guard Program Certificate of Completion and be ready to work immediately as a Security Guard in any personal protection, private event, or business environment.
Fee: $1,995 (includes tuition, materials, Live Scan (fingerprinting), and BSIS application fee)
